Huge Cabernet Tasting this Friday (24th)

**THIS FRIDAY from 5 to 7**
A VERY SPECIAL
CABERNET SAUVIGNON TASTING

2008 Beau Vigne Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, $88
96 Points Robert Parker, (1000 Case Made)

"The top wine, and one with 25 or more years of potential, is the single-vineyard 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. Aged 20 months in 100% new oak, this is a limited production cuvee of just under 200 cases. With compelling fruit intensity and a saturated purple color, its notes of melted licorice, forest floor, blackberry and cassis linger in the aromatics and in the mouth. Huge, concentrated, and even better than the 2007, this wine needs to be forgotten for 3-4 years and drunk over the following two to three decades."

2008 Beau Vigne Cult Cabernet Sauvignon, $75
92 Points Robert Parker, (400 Cases Made)

"Aged 22 months in mostly French oak, the wine has a deep ruby/purple color and plenty of black cherry and black currant fruit, with hints of licorice, graphite, herbs and smoke. It is medium to full-bodied, still somewhat closed, but promising"

2007 Soda Canyon Cellars Barrel Chaser, $35

The Barrel Chaser red is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cab, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cab Franc made by Dave Phinney - the winemaker behind Orin Swift's wines, including everyone's favorite, The Prisoner. The velvety smooth red is marked by ripe cherry and black currant fruit with hints of vanilla bittersweet chocolate and anise notes that carry from nose to palate gracefully. Already drinking well now, this Napa Red will continue to evolve over the next 5-7 years and drink for a decade plus. (625 Cases Made)

2008 Beau Vigne Persuasion Chardonnay, $22

Persuasion offers the subtle and delicate flavors and style that reflect the Russian River region. On the nose there are hints of pineapple, mango and white peach. The layered stone fruit flavors of the body are followed by underlying notes of minerality and limestone. The finish is complex and vibrant, keeping the flavors clean and refreshing.
